What makes Sorella Women’s Health different?
Let’s face it. Even the very idea of going to the Gynaecologist can make us cringe. It can feel embarrassing, daunting or even downright scary.
At Sorella Women’s Health, we believe taking care of your Gynaecological health should be an empowering experience. We want to make going to the gynaecologist easy and free from embarrassment, shame or judgement.
We’ve brought together a highly skilled, all-female clinical and operative team who know exactly what you’re going through and treat you the way we would want ourselves, our mother, our sister, or our best friend to be treated.
Too often, women are on a treadmill when it comes to their health, going from one appointment to the next without forming connections or getting answers. But at Sorella from first contact through every stage of the health journey, we provide an environment of support based on seeing you as a person, not just a patient and seeking answers with you.
We factor your life circumstances into treatment plans wherever we can, because we know tailoring treatment to you as a person is optimal for mental and emotional wellbeing as well as physical recovery and comfort.
We also understand that many people wish to share their health journey with loved ones. Where appropriate, we encourage you to bring a loved one to appointments. This helps your loved ones understand what you’re going through and ensures that they, too, have access to professional support services if required.
Put simply, it’s important to us that everyone feels safe and well-supported, and we welcome all people who need support with their Gynaecological health. We promise to really listen to you and consider your needs and will hold your hand throughout your journey.
Why Sorella?
Sorella means sister in Italian. The name is both a nod to Dr Yvette’s Italian heritage and the community of women we are building – one where women are treated as we would want our sisters, mothers and best friends to be treated.
Dr Yvette Ius is passionate about creating spaces for women to feel comfortable discussing their health and creating opportunities for female health practitioners. At Sorella Women’s Health, she aims to do both.
