Dr Yvette Ius is a specialist Gynaecologist and Gynae-oncologist dedicated to providing the best health care to women in an environment of dignity, respect and mutual trust.
Yvette is one of the highest qualified and most experienced Gynaecological surgeons in the country–she is the specialist other Gynaecologists refer to and is also highly sought after to address conferences and deliver training to health professionals.
Based in Newcastle, NSW, Yvette operates at John Hunter and Newcastle Private hospitals and welcomes patients from the Hunter and Central Coast region and further afield.
Yvette holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle (2005) and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2015. She is also a member of the Australian Society of Gynaecology Oncology, Hunter New England Gynaecological Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team, Hunter Medical Research Institute member (HMRI) and a lecturer and examiner at the University of Newcastle.
Yvette completed the RANZCOG Certificate in Gynaecology Oncology in 2018 and has an extensive and unrivalled level of surgical experience, especially in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
Cancer has personally touched Yvette’s life, and it has made her all the more driven to be the best in her field and ensure people receive the very best care available. While she is an expert oncological surgeon, she is equally dedicated to offering all women her skills and experience for more typical and non-surgical gynaecological issues.
As practice principal at Sorella Women’s Health, she has built an impressive all-female team of highly skilled, qualified and empathic practitioners who share her passion for creating comforting, professional and empowering healthcare.
